CAMILLE'S first word was “flower” and she hasn’t stopped making noise since. Throughout grade school she was perpetually involved in artistic pursuits, starting with a cereal-box violin and children’s choirs, moving into voice and piano lessons a few years later, and finally dance classes at age thirteen. A particular highlight was her “critically acclaimed” take on the theme from Batman during her first piano recital.
Camille has performed extensively in theatrical settings and in her shower. Starting in 2000 with her operatic debut at Edmonton’s Winspear Centre, she then undertook roles such as Baby Louise in Gypsy, Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and one of the many Snow Children in Carousel (for which she still remembers her line). During her adult life, Camille has had many more opportunities to pull faces on stage. Operatic roles include Oberto in Alcina, Papagena in The Magic Flute, Esmeralda in The Bartered Bride, and lady-of-the-night Poussette in Manon. Theatre roles include Josephine in HMS Pinafore, Netti in Curious George and the Golden Meatball, and a Lost Boy named Steve in Peter Pan the Musical. Now at the start of her professional career, Camille is continuously searching for more things to do. She is currently taking lessons for acting, dance, and voice, and is teaching herself to play the ukulele so she can impress people at parties. She also works part-time at a jewellery store and can probably guess your ring size within a reasonable margin of error.
